The Nigro Firm
The Nigro Firm is a preconstruction service company that provides 3rd party coordination reviews of construction drawings and also publishes three web sites - Nigro Firm, Blueprint Bluepers and Beagle Review.
Through the years we have reviewed over 200 projects, totaling over 10 billion in estimated construction costs and have helped many interested parties save millions.
We have seen hundreds of thousands of pages of drawings, specs and project manuals, and are surprised when we see a new and interesting error. Some of these errors have caused us to chuckle and imagine what it would be like if you actually built the building according to the drawings — the cartoons are our medium for sharing these imaginations.

Natalie Nigro
Natalie Nigro is the president of the Nigro Firm and has nearly 17 years of experience in reviewing construction documents. She is also the brain of our operations. She not only runs the company efficiently and cheerfully, but also writes the code for all three sites and keeps them organized and maintained while researching ways to improve them. She has a background in Applied Artificial Neural Networks and Artificial Intelligence programming for the Hubble Space Telescope Program, so needless to say, writing web site code for her is fun.
Shirley Nigro
Shirley, our Efficiency Expert, has spent many years at Natalie's elbow helping her double her production and increase her accuracy while performing construction document quality reviews.
She also uses her background in graphic design for the web sites. She works with the graphics, scanned images and photographs and helps Natalie choose design elements such as color, font and layout. Shirley is also the layout person and graphic designer for the Beagle Review newsletter. She serves as our team photographer providing us with the ability to publish original images on all of our sites. To top it off, she can whip up a mean cup of coffee!
Coordination Reviewers
Our team of coordination reviewers analyze construction drawings all day, everyday and are always amused and excited when they find an interesting and potentially comical error, omission or discrepancy. When they find a humorous error, they share it with the other team members by posting a note on the white board or if it is really funny, with a phone call.
Many of the errors they have found have inspired cartoons, added to our weird wacky word list or have developed into anecdotes.
